Food Assistance

Pantry hours are Tuesday 5-7 pm and Saturday 9-11am.

Our guests are greeted and served in the lobby area adjacent to the historic church building. Guests should park in the south lot (go up the third church driveway) and enter the lobby for service. Handicap access is available around the back via the entrance by the main office.

Guests are provided a supplemental 3-day food order based on the size and makeup of their household. The 3-day supplemental order is available once every 4 weeks. Guests may also receive bread, milk, ½ dozen eggs and items available on the lobby tables every week as their needs arise. When available, a table will be set with “take-with” items such as unique items and other goods the guest may choose.

The pantry is located @ 42 White Church Lane, Troy NY (not far from Tamarac School) Signs are posted during pantry open times to direct you to the pantry entrance.

You will need proof of identification (driver’s license) as well as proof of residency (ex. utility bill, recent postmarked envelope).

Brunswick Cares Community Food Pantry is called to serve our neighbors and community. We are to assist our neighbors by offering families supplemental food and milk. Some of our neighbors may only need a little assistance, while others are struggling in our tight economy.

We provide food without prejudice to race, age, sex, political or religious affiliations, handicap, or sexual orientation. We will serve guests on public assistance with food stamps. We will serve guests facing job losses. Whatever the struggle, we will serve them gladly.

Our duty is to always be respectful and maintain our guest’s privacy and confidentiality.

There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.   1 Corinthians 12:4-6(NIV)
